The celebration of a century of Malang City splendored with various
creation and entertainments.
The peak celebration of the culinary feast
was filled with snack and dishes typical of Malang.
The celebration was
also enlivened with music entertainment that was presented by Malang
local artists.
"This is the Malang Tempo Doeloe Culinary Festival," said the
organizer, Handi Prayitno, on Saturday. The festival presented various
types of culinary from the past that is difficult to find nowadays. The
snacks and culinaries typical of Malang were served throughout the
streets of Gajah Mada from 07:00 to 11:00 Western Indonesian Time.
Local communities were invited to know the processing of tempe
and its chips that became the distinguished snacks of Malang. Every
activities, Handi said, were held in the Malang City Hall area. The main
lane in the capital of Malang was closed for building up tents and
