Malang administration hosted the Malang Flower Festival, displaying
works by students and youth from Malang and from other cities.
The
exhibition had made Jalan Ijen into a giant catwalk to exhibit artworks
that are basically made from flowers.
Head of Malang Tourism Agency, Sri Wahyningtyas, said that
participants of the festival came from Banyuwangi, Jember, Pasuruan,
Blitar and Surabaya. There were 240 participants registered in the
fourth annual flower festival that coincided with the 100th anniversary
of Malang City.
The festival was aimed at providing entertainment for and inspiring
Malang residents. Participants of the festival also displayed their
clothing designed with flower motives, made of recycled materials.
