Dieng Offers New Tourism Package

Tourism Awareness Group 'Dieng Pandawa' is preparing a new tourism package for those who want to enjoy sunrise and sunset in Dieng tourism site.
 
"Sikunir and Prau hills are the popular ones. But some places are more beautiful than the two," said the Banjarnegara Regent Hadi Supeno.

Hadi explained that in the new location, Pangonan Hill, there is a savannah named Telaga Sumurup. But it is located in a conservation area that it would need an approval from the Natural Resources Conservation Center (BKSDA) of Central Java.

Endi Suryo from the Natural Resources Conservation Center of Central Java said that the Telaga Sumurup is a conservation area and is closed for any activities. "Off-road activities will not be allowed because they would potentially damage the area. But hiking and research activities would still be allowed," Endi said.

Endi added that photography enthusiasts would potentially harm the area. According to Endi, some of them did not consider the ethics of conservation.
